Every year, my family and I sit down together to make New Year’s resolutions. This year, we went on a special hike, pulled our our notepads and pens, and worked together to write S.M.A.R.T. goals. These are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely.

My family is very active, and sometimes we get so caught up in the obligations and hullaballoo of everyday life that we suddenly find ourselves halfway through the year with no idea how we got there. This year, we want to be precise and focused on our goals so we can feel confident each day that we are doing activities that align with our goals.

What are your New Year’s resolutions this year? How do your New Year’s Resolutions compare to other Americans–and how do Baby Boomer resolutions compare to those of Millennials? This fun read shares some of the top New Year’s Resolutions, how they compare across generations, and the percentage of people who succeed (and fail) at achieving them.
