The annual election period is here! And that means SCAMS will be in full swing!
Every year, I remind you all to be very careful about providing ANY information over the phone. In fact, I wouldn’t even answer the phone if you do not recognize the number. If you get a suspicious call from “Your Plan” or “The Social Security” or “Medicare”, etc, and they start asking for personal information, hang up. If you receive mail and it is asking you to take action to “renew your plan”, or call to re-enroll, remember that YOU DO NOT HAVE to re-enroll every year. No action is needed as it automatically renews for the following year. When in doubt, please call us at 949-676-7272
Many of you have already received the Annual Notice of Changes (ANOC), from your carrier if you are on a Medicare Advantage Plan. If I signed you up, please remember that we carefully select the plans for our client’s needs to avoid the stress about switching every year.
Now, for everyone else:
If you selected a Supplemental Plan, this enrollment period will only pertain to you for one of 2 reasons:
- 1) You want to change from supplemental coverage to a Medicare advantage plan
- 2) Your medications change and you would like to review your prescription drug plan.

If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan this is the time to make a change if you are unhappy with your plan, cost of your medications, or your medical needs have changed and/or simply want to find extraordinary customer service. Then we need to talk.
